The Truly Naughty Troop

The Truly Naughty Troop (or TNT) are a casual/family guild on the Fennin Ro Everquest server. This site hosts their Wiki, while this link points to the main guild news page and this link heads to the TNT forums.
The TNT is a guild founded on Jan. 24, 2003, in EQ 1, we formed under the ideals of getting as much fun and enjoyment out of these MMORPGs that consume so much of our time as we could. To aid one another and our fellow gamer. It now has a couple of hundred members in EQ1, as well as dozens of more members of the Troop in EQ2 (Nektulos server), World of WarCraft (Hyjal server), Guild Wars (there's only 1 server), City of Heroes (Liberty server), City of Villains (Liberty server), Eve Online (Tranquility server), & Aion Online.

The founding of the Troop,

Well, way back when I first started playing EverQuest all the time I got into a guild called the Silver Dragon Society. They were in pretty bad shape, very few members, low attendance, and such. I started helping by trying to plan more things for the guild to to. I also began soft recruiting. Just sort of offers, for people that I grouped with and had a decent time with. After weeks of effort the guild began to grow at a fairly good rate, the leader began talking about running raids now and then. That I was fine with. Around that time he promoted me all the way up to officer, just below the only remaining officer from before I joined. So I began recruiting a bit more directly, and planing events for us to go do for fun. After a couple months we had reached a pretty good size and were fairly active.
It was then the problem came. Our leader started talking about how he wanted to make us into a "real raiding guild". Setting required raiding days, getting everyone organized into raiding groups, and getting people's phone numbers to make sure they got to the raids and such. I spoke up immediately, by then there were about five officers, the one from before my joining, me, and three new ones. The one from before I joined was also against the change, but the three new ones were all for it. I told our leader that this was not a change that a good number of our members would like at all. But he was adamant about the change. He was determined to make the change, I told him I would not stay, and I was sure others would join me in leaving. He blew up at me, demanding that I stop threatening his guild.
I tried very hard to tell him it was no threat, that this was just truth, many of the people I had invited were in it for a guild to hang out with and have fun with. Not for something like work. He became really quite unpleasant at that point. I spent the next day talking to the people in the guild I was friends with, telling them I planed to leave, I would not stay in the guild with the leader basically dragooning us in to this change. I did not talk to him after his abusive yelling tirade, but I heard he was VERY mad at me for "subverting members of his guild". But I did not really care at that point.
After a few days, I left, and over the next 48 hours so, so did something along the lines of a third of the guild. I had begun the process of forming a new guild a few days before I left the S.D.S. with my second highest level character, Nethra. About a half day after I left the GMs got back to me and the Truly Naughty Troop was formed. The core of the guild was made of my mate: Kolyn, my brother: Torelian, his wife: Moonebeam, and many of my real life friends, but we were also joined over the first few days by a large number of friends from the Silver Dragon Society and others we knew from various other places. The officer from the S.D.S. that had been there before me contacted me a few days later, he wanted to join us, I welcomed Chillek into the T.N.T. Happily.
